Media and Press Photography
Tim has worked for the Hawke’s Bay Today newspaper for 16 years as a press photographer at the beginning of his career as a photographer. Some highlights of his career are the coverage of the 1990 Commonwealth Games, capturing the spectacular Mt. Ruapehu Eruption which is displayed in the National Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa, in Wellington and getting up close and personal with celebrities such as Sir Paul McCartney and the Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver as well as being honoured with many national and international awards.
This gave him a very good base knowledge of press and magazine photography. In his recent years as a freelance photographer he has carried on working in this area for a variety of publications like Dominion Post, New Zealand Harald, Womans Day Magazine, Resene Magazine, Cuisine Magazine and others. Tim is also a regular contributor to the local Magazine Baybuzz.
